How to Cultivate a Raving Audience | Virtual Assistant for Photographers

As a virtual assistant for photographers, I know first-hand just HOW important it is for photographers to have excited, raving clients who refer you to their friends, shout you out on social media and/or sing your praises!

I see it every day in inboxes and CRMs! And the impact referrals have on your business?!

GAME-CHANGER!

Just think - when you want to try something new or want to make a big investment you might seek the advice of someone else, right?! The same goes for photography services!

If your clients are raving about you on social media, or telling all their family and friends about you, you’re creating that know-like-trust factor without even realizing it! You’re just providing your clients with that unbeatable client experience who then RAVE about you!

Part of your job as a photographer is to create HYPE around your service (aka your client experience). You want to make it seem like an exclusive awesome club people WANT to be a part of. Fomo is a powerful tool!!

So how do you cultivate a raving audience as a photographer?!

  1. Use email marketing

Educate your clients on what you do and how you do it. Incentivise your client to sign up for your email list by offering pre-release dates, and exclusive discounts or opportunities to book your services! Create a community vibe with your audience where they can get to know YOU! Flodesk is a GREAT email marketing tool to do all of this and MORE! (Need help managing your Flodesk?! We’ve got you covered!)

  2. Create an unforgettable client experience

You want your client experience to be a well-oiled machine! It helps to build trust with your clients, and create a repeatable experience people will be EXCITED to experience themselves!

  3. It’s all in the details

Don’t forget about the little things! Client gifts when they book with you, snacks for the little ones to keep them happy throughout the session, or a handwritten thank you card! Be one step ahead of your ideal client at all times!

  4. Show up on social media

This doesn’t have to be complicated! Be your biggest hype man and stop being afraid to repeat yourself! Make social media your friend, and use it as place to showoff yourself, your incredible skills, and all your work.

  5. Ask for reviews and use them on social media

Don’t be afraid to ASK for the reviews! If your clients never know how or where to leave you one…you might not get them! Ask for a review more than one time, and then guess what?! Use those reviews in your content! How’s that for low-effort content?!

You’ve got this friend! We believe in you and are here for you every step of the way!!
