Hey, I’m Jessie -
I founded The Focus Co. after being a photographer myself for 10 years. I felt the pull to listen to my gut intuition when I realized I loved the admin/marketing/sales/strategy more than the photos themselves.
When I finally said yes to my intuition, everything clicked. I started booking clients, and was sold out as a virtual assistant within 3 weeks of opening my doors.
I quickly started building a team of women who helped me expand and offer more services to more photogs. Over the next 2 years, my side hustle as a VA turned into a busy, thriving Virtual Assistant Agency. And just like that,
The Focus Collective was born
I am passionate about helping women succeed in business for two very clear reasons:
I firmly believe that women’s voices are important in the business world, and our femininity needs to be at the table.
And…
If you rewind my life 10 years, you’d find me with a profound chronic illness. I watched my whole life slip between my fingers for years as I battled for my health. I was lucky enough to get better, but it’s never left my side how important it is that we spend what precious time we have… living a life we love. I want to spend my time helping women do just that.

My partner and I eloped in the middle of nowhere with just our closest friends + families present. 10/10 recommend.
I am a rare OG Austinite, and I love this city! I grew up going to Barton Springs & playing at Zilker Park.
We now have two boys together! They keep us bUsY + happy. I took a long time to decide I wanted kids, but I am so glad I did. Freaking love it.
